London-based electronic producer extraordinaire Kelly Lee Owens has released her phenomenal cover of the early noughties banger 'More Than A Woman', originally by Aaliyah. After a brief stint on SoundCloud back in 2015, we're ecstatic to see Owens' take on the R&B classic re-surfacing with its acid-house-inspired swagger, cinematic strings and silky smooth vocals. Discussing the track Owens explains, "My love and respect for Aaliyah as an artist / vocalist and Timbaland as a producer increased ten fold as I picked the track apart and understood how intricate and layered everything was. I chose to combine my favorite elements of the original track with my love of analogue production - a stripped down version, and an ode to Aaliyah, one of the greatest." To top it off, Owens has also shared her own remix of the cover, once again breathing new life into the modern-day classic.
